Hubli-Dharwad Municipal Corporation has made Rainwater harvesting compulsory. If owners of new buildings fail to set up rainwater harvesting (RWH) facility in their buildings, the Corporation will not issue completion certificate to owners of new buildings. A team of engineers has already been formed to monitor those who are constructing new buildings in Hubli-Dharwad and those who would seek permission for the same.
